The unique advantage of dual expertise
Certified Public Accountant & Attorney at Law
I earned my undergraduate degree in accounting with highest honors from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. After working for several years as a CPA in public accounting and private industry, I obtained my law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
Upon graduation from law school, I worked for five years at a law firm in Raleigh, North Carolina focused on estate planning, tax planning, and tax return preparation before founding the Law Office of Pamela Harrigan-Young and Pamela Harrigan-Young, CPA in January 2012.
Through my CPA practice, I provide comprehensive tax planning, preparation, and resolution services for individuals, small businesses, and estates. My legal background gives me a deeper understanding of tax law and the ability to handle complex tax situations that many CPAs refer out.
In addition to running my practices, I have served as an adjunct professor at North Carolina A&T State University teaching accounting to undergraduate students, and currently serve on the Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council for NC A&T.
